About us


Open Space Works Ukraine is a female-headed consulting firm (with two female co-founders and one male co-founder) that originated from the Open Space Works Cooperative, a collective of independent consultants in Ukraine, established in 2016. Our company specialises in conducting qualitative research, designing and facilitating multi-stakeholder collaboration processes, and implementing comprehensive change programs to engage stakeholders or enhance their interactions. Our clients include international humanitarian organisations, technical assistance projects, national foundations and NGOs, and private companies.
The Open Space Works Ukraine team brings over 15 years of experience tackling complex issues
across various social change sectors. Additionally, our team of consultants has over a decade of
experience developing and facilitating participatory strategic sessions, workshops for analysing
collaborative ecosystems, and process design. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, the OSW
Ukraine team has been focused on conducting studies in the humanitarian sector in collaboration with leading and internationally recognised

it's a technique for running meetings where the participants create and manage the agenda themselves. Sessions can be for between five to 2000 people. This method is ideal if you want participants to gain ownership of an issue and develop solutions.

With 18 years in management consultancy, Taras Tymchuk specialises in stakeholder analysis, Organisational Development and large group interventions, utilising methods like Open Space technology and Future Search. Holding a Master's in Public Relations and pursuing a Master of Global Management, Taras has led over 200 projects, partnering with organisations like GTS, ODI, UNDP, and GIZ. As co-founder of OSWU, he's been pivotal in humanitarian aid and strategic planning. He co-authored the World of Community Simulation Board Game, emphasising social impact.
